Earth Council Geneva has launched a campaign for financial support. The Board of Directors is seeking funding so that we may continue in our efforts to move forward aggressively and take advantage of the considerable momentum built since our inception in 2002.

Earth Council Geneva draws from a wide range of expertise in order to fulfill its mission of empowering people and supporting sustainable, environmentally sound development. This includes the online course development, support and administration described above, program and fund management services, as well as research and support of alternative energy sources and projects. Since its inception in 2002, Earth Council Geneva has trained over 7,000 students and has created 34 online courses. The Earth Council Geneva is chaired by Mr. Reto Braun (Switzerland), and includes Mr. Lucas Assunção (Brazil), Mr. Jose Maria Figueres (Costa Rica), Ms. Christine Novakovic (Italy), Ambassador Mohamed Sahnoun (Algeria), and Mr. Musaed Al Saleh (Kuwait). Dan Strickland is Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Hildi Juengling is Vice President of Finance and Marketing Support. As of November 1, 2007, Gao Pronove, Executive Director of Earth Council Geneva since its inception in 2002, has decided to leave the organization to pursue other interests. Gao was instrumental in the launching of the ECG eLearning programmes and the executive and intellectual driver behind several of ECG's accomplishments to date. The ECG colleagues and board members would like to thank him for his contribution and hard work, and wish him well in any endeavors he follows.
