Earth Councial Geneva and the GHG Experts Network sign partnership agreement on Greenhouse Gas Accounting Training Program

The Greenhouse Gas Experts Network (GEN) is a professional network of experts in GHG inventories, monitoring, and verification. Launched in early 2006 with support of the United Nations Development Programme, it has grown to over 750 members worldwide. The Network’s mission is to professionalize the field and improve the capacity of experts, especially those in developing countries.

Earth Council Geneva has partnered with GEN to develop the capacity of governments, corporations, and other large organizations to measure and manage their greenhouse gas emissions in order to mitigate global climate change. This project is designed to achieve this goal globally, and as quickly and cost-efficiently as possible. We have accepted the single greatest challenge of our age, our threatened world environment, and have brought to this the vision that the single greatest technological innovation of our time, the internet, is the best avenue for finding answers.

Earth Council Geneva and GEN will jointly create a suite of online training courses for professionals on GHG emissions monitoring and accounting on Earth Council Geneva’s e-Learning Platform.
