Earth Council Geneva has launched a campaign for financial support. The Board of Directors is seeking funding so that we may continue in our efforts to move forward aggressively and take advantage of the considerable momentum built since our inception in 2002.

Desertification is the degradation of land in arid, semi-arid, and dry sub-humid areas. It is largely a result of climatic variations and unsustainable land use practices, such as overgrazing, over-cultivation, and poor irrigation. Desertification contributes to poverty, famine, and the deterioration of natural resources. Over 250 million people are directly affected by desertification.| < Prev | Next > |
